This is a piece that I wrote reflecting on the summers I spent as a child out on Long Island, with long, lazy days by the beach and nights full of firecrackers and campfire smoke. It's a very nostalgic piece to me, one draped in intimate memories, and an attempt at the recreation of childhood wonder.Â
